EMPOWERING EVERYONE IN HONG KONG TO VOLUNTEER!

Participants take part in Hike for Hong Kong to raise funds for local charity HandsOn Hong Kong. The HandsOn team develop service programs to help local, under-served non-profit organizations and connect them with the volunteers they need to achieve their mission.

Each month, HandsOn runs up to 200 volunteer activities as a free public service, supporting more than 100 NGO partners who focus on causes such as alleviating hunger and poverty, educating children, supporting people with disabilities, environmental conservation and more.

In 2018 alone, HandsOn supported 82,000+ Hong Kong people in need by empowering volunteers to give more than 37,000 hours of their time to serve the community.

Financial literacy workshops for those in need

Funds raised from Hike for Hong Kong 2019 will make possible a year-long series of financial literacy programs that will empower disadvantaged individuals in our community. Workshops will enable participants to make informed financial decisions and plan for the future in order to achieve their goals.

Outings for youth with intellectual disabilities

45.3% of people with disabilities in Hong Kong are from low-income families, often without access to healthy and beneficial extra-curricular activities.

Funds raised from Hike for Hong Kong 2018 will make possible a year-long series of outings that will broaden the horizons and develop the self-esteem of students with special needs—without requiring financial resources from their families and schools.
